Chick’n’Sours Eyes New Markets in Bold Delivery-Only Expansion

Chick’n’Sours Eyes New Markets in Bold Delivery-Only Expansion

Posted by Emma on 11th Apr 2025       Reading Time:

The London-based fried chicken and cocktail concept Chick’n’Sours is poised for a significant delivery expansion after securing strategic support from Deliveroo and Sessions, two leading names in digital hospitality.

The partnership will see Chick’n’Sours extend its footprint beyond its physical locations in Haggerston and Seven Dials, where it has built a loyal following over the past decade. The move reflects a growing trend in hospitality—one where brands harness technology and dark kitchens to serve new communities without opening traditional brick-and-mortar outlets.

Deliveroo and Sessions have joined forces to identify promising restaurant concepts and provide them with the infrastructure and insight needed to scale. For Chick’n’Sours, this means launching delivery-only locations across Sessions’ kitchen network, with Deliveroo as the exclusive delivery partner.

The first phase of the rollout will begin in April, with Chick’n’Sours set to launch in Finchley, Fulham and Kilburn—three areas where customer demand has been consistently strong.

David Wolanski, founder of Chick’n’Sours, outlined the brand’s vision: “Our mission is simple: to bring joy to our guests through exceptional fried chicken, whether dining in our restaurants, attending a festival or event, or enjoying a meal at home.

By partnering with Sessions, we can share the Chick’n’Sours experience beyond the walls of our restaurants, reaching new communities in areas where we currently don’t have a presence.”

The expansion begins with a measured approach. Wolanski confirmed that the initial rollout is a targeted trial designed to gather insights and adapt operations accordingly.

“We’re starting slow with a trial in select London locations, focusing on areas where our customers have expressed the most demand. We’ll use this to test and grow, seeing where this partnership can take us.”

Deliveroo echoed the excitement, with Jessica Markowski, Director for London and Deliveroo Editions, noting: “Our fundamental aim is to support restaurants to grow and thrive, so we are excited to test a new way of working with Sessions to support exciting exclusive brands to test new locations and scale.”

This collaboration between an innovative restaurant brand and two of the sector’s most agile delivery and franchising platforms hints at the future of food service—one where digital-first strategies drive growth and customer reach, even in highly competitive urban markets.

As consumer habits shift towards on-demand convenience, Chick’n’Sours’ next chapter may be a blueprint for others looking to evolve without compromising identity or quality.
