Haven is set to expand its partnership with JD Wetherspoon by opening four new pubs across its holiday parks in spring 2026, strengthening the operator’s push to modernise food and beverage provision and reshape the UK staycation experience. The move follows a £9 million investment dedicated to Wetherspoon sites and forms part of a wider £14 million upgrade to dining and retail facilities across the Haven estate.
The British holiday park operator entered an exclusive agreement with JD Wetherspoon in January 2024. The partnership saw its first venue, the Five Stones at Primrose Valley in Yorkshire, launch in March that year. Haven subsequently invested £6.7 million into additional openings, resulting in sites at Devon Cliffs in Devon, Cleethorpes Beach in Lincolnshire, the Kent Coast, and Haggerston Castle in Northumberland.
Across the five existing locations, the partnership has generated substantial trade. Haven reports close to 300,000 breakfasts and around 700,000 pints served since the rollout began. A separate dataset suggests total main meals served across the sites now exceed 900,000.
The next phase of expansion will see four further Wetherspoon pubs open at Haven’s Cala Gran in Blackpool, Lakeland in Cumbria, Riviere Sands in Cornwall, and Hopton in Norfolk. Haven has yet to confirm the names of the new pubs but is expected to do so closer to launch. Early concept imagery for the Hopton location shows a timber-fronted building with extensive glazing designed to integrate with coastal surroundings.
By spring 2026, Haven’s Wetherspoon portfolio will total nine sites, making the pub chain one of the most prominent branded operators within UK holiday parks.
The Wetherspoon expansion sits within a broader programme of spending as Haven looks to enhance the variety and quality of on-site dining. Over the course of 2025, the company has invested £140 million across its parks, including new infrastructure, venue refurbishments and expanded hospitality offers.
Alongside the new pubs, Rockley Park in Poole will gain a Burger King, bringing the total number of Burger King outlets across Haven’s estate to 22. Additional upgrades include a refurbished Show Bar at Marton Mere in Blackpool, a new supermarket, and the unveiling of a £10 million indoor water park at Haven Kent Coast.
The development underlines the growing alignment between large branded hospitality operators and UK holiday park groups. JD Wetherspoon, which has more than 830 UK pubs, has confirmed its intention to expand to over 1,000 sites through franchising with hotel and leisure partners. Haven, which owns and operates 39 parks across England, Scotland and Wales, is using the partnership to standardise dining experiences and broaden consumer choice.
Both organisations frame the strategy as a response to customer demand. Haven chief executive Simon Palethorpe said the operator’s aim is to “give customers more of what they love” through relationships with well-known brands. JD Wetherspoon commercial director Michael Barron described the collaboration as one that “continues to go from strength to strength”, expressing confidence that the new sites will prove popular among holidaymakers.
