The award’s new sponsorship by the Q Partnership—a collaboration of Friars Pride, Henry Colbeck, and V.A. Whitley—adds further significance. Robert Fernandes, Marketing Manager at V.A. Whitley, expressed pride in supporting the restaurant category, stating, “Together, we celebrate the remarkable achievements and dedication within this great industry. The consistently high standards of these entrants continue to elevate our trade.”
Georgina Colbeck, Director at Henry Colbeck, echoed this support: “We’re thrilled to sponsor this category, as it highlights the exceptional commitment of restaurants working to keep fish and chips an essential part of the UK dining experience.”
In the coming months, the assessment panel will further narrow the list, with finalists named and a winner crowned on 26 February at a ceremony in London’s Park Plaza, Westminster Bridge. This final event will recognise the standout fish and chip restaurant in the UK, showcasing the industry’s best and celebrating the tradition that continues to thrive in the nation’s culinary landscape.
