Deliveroo has unveiled an exclusive "invite-only" subscription service, Plus Diamond, which allows users to order from high-end restaurants and specialised grocery stores. The new service is priced at £19.99 per month and targets the delivery app's most frequent customers.

The Plus Diamond service offers a diverse range of premium dining options. Subscribers can order from Izakaya at Dreams in Notting Hill, London, known for its £135 'chef's exclusive selection' box, and the renowned Chinese restaurant Min Jiang in Kensington. In addition, subscribers can order from Hedonism Wines and the specialist supermarket, the Black Farmer, in Brixton. This variety ensures that there's something for every palate.

Subscribers will benefit from several perks, including priority delivery, a full refund for items arriving more than 10 minutes late, and a 10% refund in Deliveroo credit on orders exceeding £30. Moreover, Diamond members will receive invitations to various food events, such as an evening with chef John Javier and pasta-making classes with Pasta Evangelists.

This new subscription tier is Deliveroo's latest effort to enhance its loyalty programmes, which began in 2017. The company currently offers discounts to its silver and gold-level Plus members. Deliveroo aims to transition to a "plus-first" business model by 2026, with most orders coming from its subscriber base.

Will Shu, Deliveroo's Chief Executive, commented on the new service: "Diamond is our most exclusive subscription yet and provides our top customers with a whole host of fantastic benefits from premium delivery and a direct line to dedicated customer care agents, to credit back and bespoke events. Put simply, it will be the best way to get the most out of Deliveroo."
