The financial achievements of Nusret UK Limited for the year ending December 31, 2022, are noteworthy. The turnover saw a significant increase, climbing to £13.6 million from £8.2 million in the previous year, with profits before tax also jumping from £2.3 million to £3.3 million.
Since its grand opening in September 2021, Nusr-Et London has been the group's pioneering venture in the UK, adding to its prestigious global portfolio with locations in Turkey, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and the United States.
Highlighting its luxury offerings, Nusr-Et London briefly featured a lavish golden giant tomahawk steak, priced at £1,450, drawing attention from diners and Animal Rebellion activists in December 2022.
Under the leadership of director Nihan Turgay, the steakhouse has implemented measures to enhance energy efficiency, such as adjusting central heating schedules and reducing operational hours for air curtains and lighting, to balance luxury dining with environmental consciousness.
The year also saw an expansion in the team, with staff numbers increasing from 55 to 93 and a total rise in wages and salaries from £2.1 million to £3.7 million, reflecting the brand's commitment to its clientele and workforce.
Despite its success, Nusret UK Limited acknowledges the competitive landscape of the restaurant industry as a principal challenge, underscoring the importance of innovation and quality in sustaining growth.
