The Mayfair Chippy, an established name in London's culinary scene, is set to expand with the launch of a full-service restaurant in Knightsbridge next month. Known for its high-quality fish and chips, The Mayfair Chippy's newest location on Brompton Road will provide diners with a more extensive offering than its North Audley Street counterpart. This new venue is situated near Harrods and promises to become a key destination for locals and visitors seeking a quintessentially British dining experience.
Breakfast will also be a vital feature of the new Knightsbridge location, with dishes like The Butcher's Breakfast and The Fisherman's Breakfast offering a hearty start to the day. The former will include Cumberland sausage, Old Spot smoked bacon, and Doreen's black pudding, while the latter provides a seafood twist with cod sausage and treacle-cured salmon bacon. Some menu items will be available for those looking to indulge in lighter fare or a quick takeaway. The restaurant's Gin Bar will offer an impressive selection of classic cocktails and global wines. At the same time, in the morning, it will transform into a Bloody Mary Bar, offering a refreshing twist to complement the breakfast menu.
Described as "a grand extension" of the original, the Knightsbridge branch will feature a two-storey dining space complete with a Gin Bar and an outdoor seating area. With a focus on traditional British cuisine, the restaurant will serve an array of dishes, including classic fried fish options, such as cod or haddock, paired with traditional sides like fluffy chips, mushy peas, tartar sauce, and the ever-popular chip shop curry sauce or HP gravy. Another notable highlight on the menu will be The Mayfair Chippy Shepherd's Pie, prepared with braised lamb shoulder and served alongside seasonal greens.
