Using the Natural is key for my business
Since moving over to Ceres Natural Batter Mix last year, we are frying our fish at a lower temperature yet it seals well on impact with the oil, there‚ as no batter blow-off, and it fries to an even colour. Once cooked, the oil drains from the batter very quickly which, as we cook to order, has helped a lot with our speed of service when busy

Great product, great ethos
I liked Ceres ethics that the batter was natural, there were no artificial chemicals or ingredients in it, which was in line with what we were trying to do at the time, create a nice, clean flavour. Ceres was already doing this so solved the problem for us. It was easy just to use their batter.

Not only is Ceres Batter Mix natural, there are no preservatives or colourings, it adds something we can shout about to our customers. And we do, we advertise it in-store and on social media, just so that our customers know that we are doing our utmost to give them a clean product. As well as the batter being clean, it is also crisp and it looks great as well so it‚ really good on the eye. Once you open the box, you think wow, that is really nice batter.

Sceptical at first, now their biggest FAN
Introduced a few years ago to Ceres, I was sceptical as I used the previous brand of batter since i started in the industry. I tried a lot of batter mixes, but none came close so I didn't really want to change. I then tried Ceres Natural and I haven't looked back since, its the most consistent batter i've ever used, always fries really well, perfectly crisp. I use with rapeseed oil in a traditional frying range, bang on every time.
