The Real Food Café has been honoured with the Staff and Training Development Award for a significant achievement at the National Fish and Chip Awards. This accolade underscores the café's commitment to professional growth within the fish and chip industry through comprehensive skills training and opportunities for obtaining new qualifications.

Located in Tyndrum, Scotland, The Real Food Café stood out to industry experts for its substantial investment in employee growth, enabling access to essential resources and training for personal and professional advancement. The café emerged victorious against stiff competition, including Eric's Fish and Chips in Hunstanton, Norfolk, and Haven, and Cook's Fish and Chips, which operates nationwide.

Andrew Crook, President of the National Federation of Fish Friers and awards organiser, praised the café's efforts: "Being part of the fish and chip sector is a wonderful privilege and we are honouring The Real Food Café with the Staff and Development award for the amazing investment into its employees. Its commitment to fostering excellence provides opportunities for individuals to skill up and advance professionally, and we're so happy to see which new doors will open for the team."

Echoing this sentiment, James Morris, Head of Business Development at Blakemans, reflected on the award's significance: "It was an honour to play a part in the judging process for the Staff Training and Development award again this year. The award is close to the heart of Blakemans as we see our staff and their skillsets as our most valuable resource throughout the business. The finalists did not make it an easy decision to reach as each of them demonstrated dedication and focus towards developing their teams. I want to take this opportunity to congratulate The Real Food Café and to wish all the finalists my best for the coming year."

In addition, The Real Food Café has been invited on a two-day study trip to Norway by Seafood from Norway, offering a unique opportunity to delve into the Norwegian fishing industry. Participants will explore sustainable practices aboard the Østerfjord, a state-of-the-art vessel, gaining insights into environmental sustainability, fish stock maintenance, and the procurement of high-quality, fresh produce for UK fish and chip shops.

We invite our readers to share their thoughts and comments below on The Real Food Café's remarkable achievement and its impact on the industry.
