​We’ve made the Supplier of the Year Award shortlist 2024!

We’ve done it again! For a second year in a row, we’ve made the final of the Supplier of the Year Award at the 2024 National Fish and Chip Awards.

We are super proud as this prestigious accolade is reserved for suppliers who go above and beyond to provide quality produce and stand-out service to the fish and chip industry or who organise events that help bring the industry closer together.

Commenting on making the final, Stelios Theocharous, managing director at Ceres, says: “There is no greater compliment than being nominated for an award by your customers, so it means a lot to make the shortlist.

“This year we’ve really stepped up our efforts to support our customers, extending our much-trusted range of batter, curry and gravy mixes to include an innovative range of coatings as well as a powerful line-up of cleaning products. We’ve dropped more podcasts and written thousands of articles designed to educate and inform our customers as well as share ideas, while our inaugural Media Training Day held in Coventry last year provided a unique opportunity for operators to sharpen their interview skills, grow their confidence and maximise PR opportunities.

“It's great to have this recognised by the judges and we can’t wait for the final. We appreciate that we are up against some tough competition with range supplier KFE and fish merchant Dennis Crooks also chasing the award.”

Andrew Crook, president of the National Federation of Fish Friers, which is sponsoring the category and organising the awards, says: “Over the last few years, there have been times when the chips have literally been down, as well as fish stock, with many businesses facing challenges and setbacks but having great suppliers like our finalists to lean on, is what makes the industry resilient and a privilege to be part of.”
